The Ram truck lineup is made up for a few different options, but at our dealership the Ram 1500 is our most popular and well-stocked pickup. It also received a big redesign for the 2019 model year!
Let's look at the Ram 1500's performance capabilities, technologies, and design components.
The Ram 1500 has three engines to choose from. If you've researched Ram 1500 trucks in the past, you've likely read about the following two:
What's new for 2019 is the addition of a 5.7L HEMI® V8 with eTorque mild-hybrid technology. Now, don't think that because it has mild-hybrid engineering that it'll be a weak truck. In fact, it's quite the opposite.
This variant has the same specs as the standard V8, but you get extra max towing up to 12, 750 pounds. If you want to tease some of your friends who drive, say, a Toyota Tundra, you can let them know that your "hybrid" pickup beat theirs.
For technology, the Ram 1500 has plenty of available amenities that offer safety and convenience. If you're interested in crash-avoidance and advanced safety features, you won't be disappointed with the selection. You can get the following:
Standard safety features include Bluetooth for hands-free calling, a regular backup camera, and you can drive confidently in Jamestown NY knowing that the Ram 1500 has the largest brakes in its class.
Safety technology is nice to have, but we know you also care about tech that provides convenience and entertainment. One of the most awe-inspiring new options on the 2019 Ram 1500 is the available 12-inch touchscreen. It's so large that it can even do split-screen settings, that way you can have navigation going while using Apple CarPlay™ or Android Auto™. There's also fast-charging USB ports to keep your devices juiced, an available 7-inch Digital Cluster Display so you can review key truck information, and power-adjusting seats for ergonomic comfort.
As we mentioned earlier, Ram trucks have a reputation for getting pretty luxurious on the higher trim levels. You're going to be impressed by the available indigo/black two-tone Natura Plus leather seats, the chrome detailing around the dash, and the wood inlays. Depending on the trim and the interior you choose you can get one with a modern feel or one that is more rugged. Either way, passengers are going to be surprised that they're sitting in a Ram truck and not a German luxury vehicle. That said, we love that with an upper level Ram 1500 you get a trifecta: American heritage, stunning looks, and enviable capability.
To see which Ram 1500 is right for you, visit us at David Corry Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram this week. We'll show you our selection and get you out on a test drive.
At our dealership we also carry a few Ram 2500 trucks, in case you need more performance. With the larger Ram 2500 you get bigger engines and fifth-wheel towing, allowing you to bring along some exceptionally heavy equipment. You also get the same trim lineup as the smaller Ram 1500, which means you can choose between a minimalist work truck or a tricked-out luxury pickup.
